Paul Evans is Deputy Minister of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. He has a strong commitment to public service and has extensive experience in the Ontario Public Service. Paul has been with the ministry for the last 5 years. Previously, Paul was the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Integrated Environmental Policy Division. His first position with the ministry was Assistant Deputy Minister of the Environmental Programs Division.
Paul has held numerous positions within the Ontario Public Service including: Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic Investment Relations in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Assistant Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Policy and Planning in the Ministry of Public Infrastructure Renewal, and has also worked in the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Cabinet Office, the Ontario Ministry of Finance, Management Board Secretariat and the former Ministry of Skills Development.
Paul holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University. He has also completed the Ivey Executive Program and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School program in Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies.
