Field testing is facilitated by in-kind technical and logistical support from an industry consortium, headed by Explora Security Ltd., London, U.K. This “Field Blast Trials Program” provides a regular arena blast testing venue, with major explosive charges (500 kg+) and range instrumentation included at no cost to academic participants (who are liable only for the design and construction cost of the test specimen or “target” and any local instrumentation on the test target). This service for field blast testing applies not only to University of Toronto research personnel but also to other interested academic researchers.
